Pre-Primary Programs

Our pre-primary curriculum is built around a CHILD-CENTERED approach. We incorporate active learningand hands-on activities that focus on the developmental needs of young learners. Each day is an opportunity for growth through creative play and exploration.

1. Lower Kindergarten (LKG)

  • Age Group: 4-5 years

  • Key Highlights:

  1. Focus on foundational skills in language and numeracy.

  2. Introduction to phonics and basic math concepts through play-based learning.

  3. Activities include storytelling, music, dance, and art to enhance creativity.

  4. Emphasis on social skills and emotional development through group activities.

2. Upper Kindergarten (UKG)

  • Age Group: 5-6 years

  • Key Highlights:

  1. Building on LKG skills with more complex language and math concepts.

  2. Enhanced focus on reading comprehension and writing skills.

  3. Introduction to science and environmental awareness through hands on experiments.

  Grade 2 

  • Age Group: 7-8 years

  • Key Highlights:

  1. Emphasis on reading fluency and comprehension.

  2. Introduction of more structured math concepts, including addition, subtraction, and basic geometry.

  3. Creative expression through art and music integrated into the curriculum.

  4. Focus on collaborative projects to develop teamwork and communication skills.

CONFIDENCE BUILDING & STAGE PERFORMANCES

At King’s Kids, we believe in nurturing self-expression and building confidence through regular stage performances and creative activities.

  • Regular Stage Performances: EVERY CHILD has the unique opportunity to showcase their talents for an

  • audience, boosting their confidence and stage presence.

  • Creative Self-Expression: Children develop confidence through participation in activities like declamation

  • competitions, fancy dress competitions, Show -And-Tell Days as well as role plays, encouraging them to express themselves freely.

  • Recognition & Appreciation: We regularly acknowledge and celebrate our students' achievements with certificates, motivating them to excel.

  • Holistic Development: Participation in school events and celebrations promotes not just talent, but also socioemotionalgrowth, preparing children for future challenges.

PLAY-BASED LEARNING

Play-Based Learning allows children to explore, discover, and learn through play,
fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
At King’s Kids, we incorporate play like dramatic play, art, and sensory activities into daily lessons and activities, promoting creativity and problem-solving skills.

SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL)

At King’s Kids, we focus on developing emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, which are crucial for children's overall development success in school life. Teaching empathy, self-regulation, social skills through direct instruction role-playing is included the curriculum activities like cooperative games. 

PHONICS FOR ENGLISH READING

At King's Kids, phonics is a foundational approach used to teach English reading, fostering early literacy skills in young learners.
Teachers employ engaging, multisensory activities such as songs, games, and interactive stories to make phonics enjoyable and effective. Regular assessments help monitor each child's progress, ensuring personalized learning pathways. Additionally, the integration of phonics into daily routines helps reinforce skills and build confidence in reading.
